eLearning Modules: Create New

Use a Template

  1. Go to: Configuration >> eLearning Modules
  2. To access a library of eLearning Modules that have been made available to administrators of Volunteer Impact, click the [eLearning Module Library] button
  3. In the “Keywords” field, enter some text to search on.  This will search in the name, description and keywords fields of the modules in the library.
  4. Click the [Search] button
  5. From the list of templates retrieved, hover over the [Options] button to the left of a template and select “Use This Template”.  You can also “View” it or “Preview” it before using it.

Create New

  1. Go to: Configuration >> eLearning Modules
  2. Click the [Add New eLearning Module] button at the bottom of the page (or click the [+] button in the eLearning Module header)
  3. Enter the name of the Module (maximum 200 characters). This name will also be visible to volunteers that take the Module.
  4. Optional: Enter any Internal Notes about the Module that you only want administrators to see
  5. Select the Qualification and Qualification Level from the options provided.  If the Qualification has an expiry date associated with it enter the Valid For Months number and Retake Module Days number
    • TIP: If the Qualification does not yet exist, you can create a new one by clicking the [+] button
  6. Enter the Passing Score (expressed as a percentage) that a volunteer needs in order to pass the Module. Once the volunteer has passed the module, the level for the associated qualification will be saved to their profile without you needing to approve it. You can, if you wish, choose to receive a notification by email when volunteers complete your eLearning Modules.
  7. Optional: Check the box if you want your active eLearning Module to be displayed as a link on the volunteer’s Training page in MyImpactPage.com and the My Impact app.
    • TIP: If you want volunteers to be able to review an eLearning Module they have already taken, you can also select the “Review” option.
  8. Optional: Customize the message received by volunteers for Passed, Failed, Inactive or Already Has Qualification status.  Default messages are available for all options (view by clicking on the Information [ ] icon beside the message option)
  9. Click the [Save] button

TIP:

To add your content and questions to your module you’ll need to add your section (or sections).
