Activity Ticker Settings

The Activity Ticker is a scrolling list of up to ten randomly selected Activities and Interests (Opportunities) that appears on your Enterprise-wide opportunities search page (Configuration >> Links for Website).

  • Show Featured – Turns this ticker on and off
  • Include Interests – In addition to showing publicly viewable Activities you can choose whether or not you would like General Interests included. Because General interests are used to advertise opportunities, this is typically selected.
  • Featured Activity Header – You can customize the short header that appears above the ticker.

Search Label Settings

You can re-title each of the classification headers used in the your Enterprise search page. If you do not have any Activities with a particular classification or classification heading, that classification and classification heading will not show up in in your search page.

  • Organizations Label – Your list of accounts will appear under this so use a term that makes sense for your organization. e.g. branch, department, corps
  • Organization Classifications Label – A list of the general focus of each of your accounts.
  • Communities Label – A list of the communities in which your accounts exist. These could be neighbourhoods within a city or regions across the country or anything in bewteen
  • Activity Classification Label – A list of the types of Activities
  • Duration Commitment Classification Label – A list indicating various lengths of time a volunteer would have to commit to the organization if participating in a particular Activity
  • Time Commitment Classification Label – A list indicating how often a volunteer would have to commit to the organization if participating in a particular Activity
  • Suitability Classification Label – A miscellaneous list
  • Schedule Classifications Label – A list indicating what days and time of day an Activity could occur
  • Date Range Label – Where applicable, a reference to when shift for an Activity occur

Other Settings

  • Link to Search on MyVolunteerPage.com – Tick this to include a link on the a volunteer’s home page, after they log in, which will bring them back to your search page.
  • Custom Title for Mission Statement – Override the default title of “Mission Statement”.
  • Mission Statement – Decide where your enterprise’s mission statement will appear.
  • Application Button – Show a “Fill in an application” button for the organizations on the public search page. Enabling this feature will add a button to the bottom of each organization’s section in the search results which will take the volunteer directly to the default application form for that organization.
  • General Interests – Tick this to include general interests from the organizations in your enterprise in the public page search results.
  • Custom Home Page Text – Messages you add here will appear to prospective volunteer on your search page.

Volunteer Qualification Alert Settings

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Enterprise Settings >> General Settings
  2. Scroll down to the “Volunteer Qualification Alerts” section
  3. Check the box if you only want volunteers with a status of “Accepted” to be included in the expired/expiring qualifications lists
  4. Enter the number of days prior to the expiration of a qualification that you wish to use when Volunteer Impact checks for qualifications that are going to expire
  5. Click the [Save] button

Birthday Alert Settings

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Enterprise Settings >> General Settings
  2. Scroll down to the “Birthday Alerts” section
  3. Check the box if you only want people with a status of “Accepted” to be included in the birthday alert list
  4. Enter the number of days prior to a person’s birthday that you wish to use when Volunteer Impact checks for upcoming birthdays
  5. Click the [Save] button

Enabling Group Features

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Enterprise Settings >> General Settings
  2. Scroll down to the “Scheduling Settings” section
  3. Check the box if you want to enable group scheduling. This will enable “Group Filters” when searching, the ability to include group-related fields on exports and the “Groups Allowed” flag on Activity Templates.
  4. Click the [Save] button

IMPORTANT:

In order to enable group signups, group scheduling must be enabled at the organization level and activities must be set to enable signups by “group profiles”.

Google Analytics

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Enterprise Settings >> General Settings
  2. Scroll down to the “Google Analytics” section
  3. Enter the Track ID for your Google Analytics account. (This help article shows you how to set that up.)
  4. Click the [Save] button
