Associating a Client with a Volunteer

Associate a Client with a Volunteer

  1. Search for and edit the desired volunteer profile
  2. Click on the “Connections” tab
  3. Click the “Associated Clients” section (if there are client associations, they will be displayed)
  4. Click the [Associate a Client with this Volunteer] button
  5. Enter a few letters of the first and/or last name of the
    client you wish to associate with this volunteer (optionally, check to “include archived clients in search”)
  6. Click the [Search] button
  7. Select the desired client by clicking the round box to the left of the name (if you want to know more about the client, you can select “View Client” from the [Options] button beside the client’s name)
  8. Click the [Associate Client] button. A volunteer can be associated with multiple clients.

NOTE:

If the client is associated with any activities, they will be displayed below in the “Clients” section.

Viewing a Volunteer's Associated Clients

  1. Search for and edit the desired volunteer profile
  2. Click on the “Connections” tab
  3. Click the “Associated Clients” section (if there are client associations, they will be displayed)
  4. Optionally check the box to “Hide Archived Clients”

NOTE:

If displayed, archived clients are listed at the bottom and their names are not bolded.

Viewing Activities Associated with a Volunteer's Clients

When in the “Connections” tab of a volunteer’s profile, if there are activities associated with the volunteer’s clients, they will be displayed in the “Clients” section. By clicking on the link to the activity, you can assign the volunteer to any of the activities displayed.

Communicating With a Volunteer's Clients

  1. Search for and edit the desired volunteer profile
  2. Click on the “Connections” tab
  3. Click the “Associated Clients” section (if there are associations, they will be displayed)
  4. Click the [Options] button beside the client’s name and select the desired method of communication:
    • Send Email
    • Send Mobile Email (if available)
    • Send SMS (if available)

If the volunteer has multiple clients, you can check the box beside multiple names and select the desired method of communication from the droplist.

Remove an Association

  1. Search for and edit the desired volunteer profile
  2. Click on the “Connections” tab
  3. Click the “Associated Clients” section (if there are client associations, they will be displayed)
  4. Click the [Options] button to the left of the client that you wish to disassociate from this volunteer
  5. Select “Remove Association”
  6. Confirm that you want to remove this association by clicking the [Remove Association] button

NOTE:

In addition to removing an association, the “Options” button also enables you view or edit the client’s profile or send the client an email.
